Community Outreach

Outreach Building

The Community Learning Center is the home of Community Outreach, the library’s newest department. It is located across the street from the main library, in the former Peggy Simm’s Dance Studio at 308 W. Elm.

The Community Outreach department provides a Rotating Collections service to early childhood education centers and retirement homes.  Homebound Delivery is available to individuals who aren’t able to come to the library due to advanced age, disability or injury. In addition, we encourage lifelong learning through our growing CLASS program, which utilizes the know-how and skills of our fellow community members and allows others to learn, discuss, share and forge new friendships.

The library also reaches out into the community with its Speakers Bureau.  Several staff members are available to speak about library services to your civic group, organizational meeting or club.  Check out our Speakers Bureau today!

Lori Berezovsky, Community Outreach Coordinator, is always on the lookout for ways to bring library services into the community and would be happy to discuss any ideas you might have. E-mail Lori or call her at (785) 825-4624 ext. 249.
