Cooperating Collection:
Info on Grants and Non-Profits

The Salina Public Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center. As a member of this nationwide network of libraries, community foundations and other nonprofit agencies, the library provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and two electronic databases from the Foundation Center. The Foundation Directory Online Professional is fully searchable database with detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation's top funders.  Foundation Grants to Individuals is an online database that assists individuals in funding, primarily in the areas of education and the arts.  Both databases are available to the public for free at the Salina Public Library in the Information Services department.

The Cooperating Collection is available during all open hours. Library classes on utilizing these tools are provided on a regular basis. Arrangements can also be made to suit the schedule of an individual or organization. For more information, contact the Information Services department at 785-825-4624. Nancy Jo Leachman is the Collection Coordinator.
